Although we like fully synthetic Motul brand 7100 series oil, the Maxima “scooter specific” 4 stroke is a great “value” choice for 4 stroke motor oil. It’s formulated specifically for scooters and will do the job just fine.

This oil can be used on every 4 Stroke scooter on the road today. (Even for the scooters that call for 15W40)

Some people ask, “Wait, its 10W40, can’t I just use 10W40 that I use for my car?” The answer is… we really don’t recommend it. High revving scooter and motorcycle engines need their own oil formulas.
